Canadian AI phone service platform CallCow recently released a developer guide and launched a community skill for OpenClaw. This skill allows AI agents to initiate phone calls directly through a single natural language prompt, breaking the limitation of AI agents being restricted to text-based channels. The skill is available immediately at docs.callcow.ai/agent-calling, providing small businesses with a more intelligent voice interaction capability.

At the core of this feature is CallCow's Prompt-to-Call API. Developers simply input a natural language instruction, and the API automatically generates a calling workflow, leveraging the Natural Voice Engine powered by GPT 5.4 to execute real phone calls. Once a call is completed, the system sends the transcript, call summary, and any structured data collected back to a designated callback URL. This architecture enables AI voice agents to achieve two-way conversations without the need to build their own telephony infrastructure, significantly lowering the integration barrier.

Currently, CallCow's OpenClaw skill supports inbound and outbound calling and comes with built-in data integrations with major tools such as Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly, Cal.com, HubSpot, Make.com, and Monday.com. Businesses can quickly connect AI agents to scheduling, CRM, and automation workflows. As AI agents expand from text to voice scenarios, this feature is expected to further boost communication efficiency for small and medium-sized enterprises.
